Mugla
Mugla, a twenty-fourth most populous province and city of Turkey. It has a population of 983,142 as of 2019. In the Aegean Region, a small part of its territory enters the Mediterranean Region, it is a settlement that is famous for holiday resorts such as Ortaca, Dalaman, Köyceğiz, Fethiye, Marmaris, Milas, Datça and Bodrum. There are 13 districts in the province. Muğla, which is one of the oldest settlements in the Ancient Caria region, has been under the rule of the indigenous people of Anatolia, Carians, initially and partially and in short periods of Egypt, Assyrian and Scythian occupations, and especially the Hellenistic colonization movement on the coasts.
The total length of 1479 km of sea coast with Mugla, Turkey is the province with the longest coastline. Its biggest district is Fethiye. There are also two large lakes in the province of Muğla.
Since Muğla offers very rich options in terms of places to visit and beaches, it hosts 3 million foreign tourists annually and 5 million local tourists soon. For example, Saklikent Canyon, Sleep Valley, Butterfly Valley, Lycian Way, Sedir Island are among the places to be seen.
